It took me back to my childhood in the 50's, too. I grew up in the South, where we fried everything. I never liked baloney, but there was a square-shaped processed ham-like thing I was okay with, and I could tolerate pimento loaf. Wonder Bread was the worst, though. It wasn't much better, but Holsum bread at least tasted vaguely bread-like.
