Now that I have a moment to think, I find that I really don’t have anything to add to the conversation that hasn’t already been addressed with more detail, insight or clarity. I’ll just second that whichever route you choose for publication, I’ll happily buy and read your book. IMO, the strength you bring to a faithful canon interpretation is elegant and sophisticated writing. Being a lifelong Austen fan but a latecomer to the online scene, I’ve read a fair amount of published JAFF (the PG variety) and frequently been disappointed with the lack of quality. Darcy’s Tale would, I expect, shine out among the gems in this subgenre.
