Stan,
I’d choose to take it as a great compliment. She sincerely enjoyed the read on a personal level. She’s impressed with your writing. She’d eagerly consider anything you write in future (that's not canon P&P, apparently)—wow! Which means there's probably an agent and a publisher out there somewhere who would be keen to take it on.
I did read her second paragraph as referring to a primary male POV character (i.e. Darcy) and not having much of anything to do with whether or not the author is male or female (regardless of prior TR discussions). To contradict the agent and without searching Amazon, just off the top of my head, in addition to Aidan's series, there's Susan Kaye on Wentworth, Barbara Cornthwaite (sp?) on Knightley, Nancy Kelley on Darcy, and Amanda Grange's Diary books from the heroes' perspectives. Yes, they're all written by women and some are indie-published, but they're male POV. I'd say there's interest from female readership. LOL.
I have some thoughts on her other points, but not enough time at present to be coherent...
All the best,
