*SPOILER ALERT if you haven't read my story Of Masks and Men*
I don't think I could get much more angsty than gunning down Georgiana and Col. Fitzwilliam in Of Masks and Men. That was easily the heaviest thing I've ever written.
I've thought of several angst-heavy MP stories that involve Henry Crawford realizing that Fanny won't ever love him. In my imaginary stories he doesn't exactly fall into despair, but he does realize that pursuing her is fruitless and he is very sad indeed.
