Thanks for your thoughts, Agnes – I’m not actually looking to narrow my reading down to just ten stories. I figured that if I got ten story suggestions each from say three people, plus the stories I remember fondly from my days reading a lot of DWG fiction, and things that jump out at me as I scroll through the boards & the archives, I’d end up with enough.
I already have a pretty strong direction in mind for my thesis – I’ve been developing the idea for several years now – so I would love to hear your examples of the main directions JAFF has taken over the years. I don’t think they’d influence me unduly. I’m trying to synthesize all different kinds of ideas!
(And to answer the question in your first response – I am interested in mainly DWG stories and published stories, but not so much in stories from other sites, unless they stand out to a large number of people as particularly excellent. Stories that were previously posted here and are now published would be very interesting to hear about!)
