An easy way to check which is right is to drop the 'Jane and' and see if the rest of the sentence makes sense.

'He saw Jane and I' becomes 'He saw I'. That is not correct. Therefore it should be 'He saw Jane and me'.

Honestly, native speakers are more often the ones to get these simple rules wrong. We (in North America) have been corrupted by years of slang and sloppy habits, plus a lack of continued grammar education after primary grades.

As for 'it's me', while technically it's grammatically incorrect, this is accepted as an informal use of the language when using the verb 'to be'. Other examples: It's him (at the window). It's her (with the small book).
