I realized after I wrote this that a term like "meltdown" is inappropriate and seems callous for what canon Jane was going through after Box Hill and her breakup, which sounds like depression. That was not my intention. What my Jane was experiencing was more like an anxiety attack, which also is too serious for a term like meltdown. In both cases, I think that both Janes had experienced a lot of emotional turmoil, and it had taken its toll.
