Hi, Sarah. I did write that, but I had it taken down. It was almost the very first piece of fan fiction I ever wrote, even before I had anywhere to post it, and I have regretted it almost ever since. As funny as it seemed to me to write a story where Darcy and Elizabeth engage in random, secret make-out sessions, ultimately that kind of behavior goes against my personal moral and religious principles, and I got to the point where I could no longer stand to have it out there as a representation of me as a writer. It really was a case where, like Elizabeth, I got carried away by my own wit, and then I was so eager to have someone else tell me how clever I was that I posted it, even knowing that I would be embarrassed to have anyone who knew me read it. That's even why I used my middle name instead of my first name when I first joined DWG--another decision I have regretted ever since. I couldn't stand my own hypocrisy, so I had it removed, as well as anything else that worried me, and now that Unequal Affections is about to appear in print, with my full and real name on it, it's too late to be embarrassed any more. I have to stand by everything I have written, and that's the way it should be.
