I haven't read your Book 1 yet, but marked it for myself for the future (when it would be complete). I have to say, it's a good thing to indicate that you intend to strike Darcy down with a permanent disability. (I usually avoid stories with the protagonists aving permanent disability or a lethal illness- I know it's kind of shallow, sorry). But on another note, it definitely changes the HEA of D&E- especially since blind-and-deaf greatly reduces communication between a couple. This definitely qualifies as high angst to me. I still intend to read this whole story, but it's better to be prepared.
