Oh my gosh - I'd LOVE to see Colin O'Donoghue as Mr Wickham. One of my problems with all the adaptations is that Mr Wickham has never fit my idea of him - they are either not handsome enough, not charming enough, or being 'charming' in a way that comes across as sleazy. Colin is gorgeous, and he'd manage to be both charming and plausible, without seeming sleazy.
Also I agree with Suzanne - I doubt that ANY adaptation could make all JA fans happy. There are plenty of good P&P ones, but all of them have flaws (some minor, some major). To be honest, though, I'd rather see a new adaptation of MP, as all the other JA novels have at least one decent adaptation, whereas all 3 MP adaptations have been problematic. I'd love to see a good, faithful adaptation of MP that doesn't alter the characters (especially Fanny Price) almost beyond recognition.
