Austen men's fathers

I did a bit of cursory Googling, but can anyone recommend an article, &c. about JA men's (not just the heroes') fathers & father figures. I know there's a lot about the heroines' fathers, but the fellas' seem to have generally been unfortunately dead, or ineffectual, or horrible too.
