Yeah, it's interesting, isn't it? And the little hints you get now and then, like when in Persuasion she talks about the Musgrove girls giving the "proper air of confusion" to the living room and stuffing it with decorative tables? I much prefer the clean lines and open spaces of the Georgian period to the crowded Victorian parlor with its jeweled toys myself, but there it is. One of the things I loved about the Pallisers video series was watching the women's fashions change; thought that starts later you can sort of see the movement. It's fun.
