We're members of a credit union, and the local branch has all their employees shut up in a room, so you can only talk to them onscreen. They have a drive through (which is what we usually use), but even if you go inside you just sit at a little desk in front of a screen and then put your stuff into a tube or a drawer or something and send it to them and then they send it back. Outside it uses pneumatic tubes (my kids love to push the button and watch it fly up). We do this for depositing checks or if we want to withdraw a large amount of money, as ATMs will only give you so much.
