Jessical, I do agree with your point--most certainly! Specificity is sometimes difficult, but I did not mean to suggest in my original comment that Austen's women are firebrands or rebels-in-search-of-a-cause. Her characters seem quite real, and their reactions to life strike a chord of being true to the best of human nature.
