P&P is her most popular and romantic novel, but to literary critics, Emma is often regarded as technically the best, MP the most serious and moral, Persuasion the most mature love story. NA is more of a parody, and S&S, her earliest novel, has the most caricature-like characters.
I also wish there are more non-P&P fanfics, and also fanfics involving minor characters with each other e.g. Charlotte and Col Fitz etc., or cross-overs between JA characters from different novels (but in fanfics focusing on minor characters and OCs instead of other JA characters I feel that there's not enough JA).
I don't like Anne Elliot being paired with Benwick because it's as though she's given a consolation prize in a second-rate version of Capt Wentworth who is similar but inferior to Capt W in everything -- rank and character, but I often wish someone would write a Louisa-Benwick story, I think it can be a sweet little romance. It could begin with FW denying to Harville about his supposed engagement to Louisa (Benwick could be there too), and perhaps Louisa overheard them.
