I think that the problem you have is that since going to balls and dinners is what most young women of the Ton did as a normal part of their daily lives, there may not be a specific word for what was a normal set of activities.

Usually epithets are reserved for those who are in some way eccentric, or belong to some well defined faction. 'Blue stocking' is an example of such a word for a particular person indulging in what was then one type of eccentric or out of the way behaviour. However, going to balls was so mainstream, I wonder if there is a specific word.
