I'm enjoying Death Comes to Pemberley more than I thought I would and, even more surprisingly, so is my husband!
Sadly, I think that Anna Maxwell Martin is miscast as Elizabeth - she looks too old (the actress is 36 - she played Bessie Higgins in North and South in 2004) and not attractive enough, although she does have some of Elizabeth's playfulness. The actress who plays Lydia is much more my idea of Elizabeth and I am almost convinced that Darcy may have thought that he married the wrong sister!
Matthew Rhys as Darcy is nearer my idea of this character, although he is just not tall enough in relation to the other members of the cast.
My favourite performance is that of Trevor Eve as the magistrate. I am old enough to remember him as the offbeat private detective Shoestring.
Overall, lovely to look at and just about enough of a mystery plot to keep my interest. I am looking forward to seeing Penelope Keith as Lady Catherine in the final episode this evening.
