Re: I will defer to others

Och hm, it is difficult isn´t it?

Just tried to remember what I had to read in school...Goethe, Schiller, Sophokles... and some bits and pieces of Platon... forgot the rest. Goethes Faust was quite interessting to read, but could Darcy read German? Well, but even if...I guess it is also no book I could imagine him reading repeatedly.

This John Donne, that Margaret mentioned, sounds as someone he would read, but when reading through his poems I find them a little ...dissapointing....but than, I also understand only half of the words, which might be the reason...are they good poems for a gentleman to read? [www.poemhunter.com]

What about Voltaire? It says he had a sarcastic, witty humor. But I personally only know the name and a few basic facts about the guy. Would Darcy love what he had to say?

*sigh* Maybe I should just go with Shakespeares Sonnets or so...
I personally like Rilke, but he was first born 1875... pitty otherwise I would have made these poems Darcy´s favourites, cause then at least I know what I make him having for his favourites.
Guess I have to go and read some Sonnets now...
