Of grammar and tests

Hi!

Summer is over and it's test time here. Last week I took an exam in English and I was reading my results when I happened to find a mistake in the correction (at least I think so). Here's the question:

I like _______ news on the radio in the morning.
a) to listen to
b) to listen
c) listening
d) listen to
e) listen to the

The right answer is e), but I don't think it's correct. I learnt that "to like" is followed either by "to do something" or by "doing something". e) lacks "to" before "listen", doesn't it? Or is English doing without "to" these days? I'm quite confused! Any clarification would be welcome :)
